Bharatanatyam is an Indian classical dance form from the south of India is a harmonious blend of expressions (Bhava), melody (Raga) and rhythm (Thala); Natyam meaning Dance. In Bharatanatyam, the dancer is the storyteller and the language is of rhythm, hand gestures and facial expressions. In the workshops, you will learn some of the basic Indian dance rhythms, and how to tell stories using Indian hand gestures and facial expressions. And you will learn a fun, and energetic dance to music.
